BC#4 What Do You Listen To?

I guess that says it all! Ha!I grew up listening to Johnny Cash, Willy Nelson and Hank Williams. My Dad is a song writer and has had some of his songs recorded (in Mexico). If you've listened to any Mexican music you can hear the resembalance in style. So, I guess that is why my Dad liked and listened to Country music. There was always, and still is, music in my parents house. There began my <3 of country music.

The truth is I listen and like all kinds of music. I like Adele, Bruno Mars, Beyonce, Lady Gaga. But, If you checked my Sirius XM radio settings is on The Highway. Here in Chicago we have 2 country stations US 99 and 98.3 Needles to say those are set in my car : )

My Husband likes to listen to the 70's, 80's and 90's and so you'll hear that music in our house too.

BC#3 My Favoirite Things

Today's post is about some of my favorite things. I love to read and I have always liked to keep the books I read. Now that I think of it; I should have taken pictures of our bookcases. Last year John bought me the Kindle for my birthday. I L O V E it! I have read several books on it. I have read a couple actual books since but, I like that if I hear of a book I'd like to read I can download it in seconds. Gotta' love today's technology! Although, I don't think I'll ever not like the feel of turning pages of a book.

One of my favorite drinks is a cold Diet Sierra Mist. This is new, a couple of years ago I would have told you how much I hate the taste of diet soda. I try to keep it to two a day : )

One thing I'm splurging on now is shampoo. Since last year I didn't need any. I am lovin' my new pixie hair style. I don't think, before I got sick ,that I would have had the nerve to cut my hair this short. As you can see I still like my Suave products.

I just learned how to make my own sugar scrub. That jar you see on the side is what I made. I think I'll make some for my Sisters very soon. I have been using Neutrogena products since I can remember.

One of my weakness is shower gels. I like to have a choice depending on my mood.

And last but not least is lip gloss. It's a sickness really lol!...I hope John doesn't read this I'll never walk out of a store with another one again.

I'm enjoying this blog challenge. I'm working on my writing and my photo editing.

BC #2 :Spill Your Purse

I decided to jump on board for a blog challenge. Chelsea from "The Life We Love" has started with some friends. Today or rather yesterday(I'm a day behind) they shared the contents of their purses. So here it goes. I bought this purse at TJ Maxx this Spring. The weather was still feeling like Winter around here. I, on the other hand, was ready for shorts & flip flops and a Summer-y change. So, I got this beige Nine West purse.

This is what I have in my purse right now.

I wanted a fun color for my wallet. I found this coral colored one also at TJM.
I love the scent of Philosophy's pure grace lotion. A pen, I'm a bit of a germaphobe and so I hate to use someone else's pen like when I have to sign a receipt

I carry Tums and Ginger tea with me because of my stomach problems. My Sister-in-Law gave me the cute, purple note pad. I have my business card holder (Organic dog treats). Mini Altoids and Wisp fresh breath is very important to me :) A nail file that I bought in Sea World in March. Kleenex and a variety of lip glosses. John gave me the flag cross he got at his Army unit. The receipt to the seamstress fixing my dress for my Step-sons wedding in a few weeks. And there you have it. Intresting huh?! Katie's Bridal Shower

This past Saturday I hosted a Bridal Shower for my step-sons fiance' Katie. It turned out beautifuly except the weather didn't cooperate. It was cloudy and rather cold especially for June.

I'm sorry about the last two pictures. I couldn't rotate them : ( They were the right way before I posted them, then I couldn't figure out how to turn them around. If you read this and know how to fix this. Please...Please! Tell me how to do it! I'm a bit frustrated so I'll leave them like this for now. Ugh! I need a blogging class.
